The Hilton Head Island area was settled in the 17th century
by English settlers who were enticed to the land by an
English sea captain named William Hilton. In 1663 Hilton surveyed
the area and officially claimed the land for the British crown by establishing
the name Hilton Headland. However a "modern" Hilton Head Island has existed for
only a few decades when its development began in the 1950s.
Since
the fifties the Island has become an exclusive haven for epicureans worldwide.
With exclusive beaches, resorts, fine dining and shopping, and championship
golf and tennis facilities, Hilton Head Island is a great place to visit and an
even better place to live. Contact me today and let me introduce you to this
island paradise.
